Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 17, 2026

1. Introduction

QuickCruit Inc. ("QuickCruit," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website, platform, mobile applications, browser extensions, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum information necessary to provide, operate, and improve the Services. We do not sell your data or build advertising profiles. The information we collect includes:

a. Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your name and email address. Authentication — including password management, multi-factor authentication, and single sign-on (e.g., Google) — is handled entirely by Clerk, our trusted identity provider. QuickCruit never stores, processes, or has access to your password. Clerk is a SOC 2 Type II certified platform purpose-built for secure authentication.
  • User Content: Resumes, cover letters, career coaching conversations, and other materials you create or upload through the Services.
  • Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, all payment processing is handled securely by Stripe, an industry-leading payment platform. Your credit card details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are never stored on or processed by our servers.
  • Communications: Information you provide when you contact our support team, submit feedback, or participate in surveys.

b. Usage & Technical Information

To help us understand how the Services are used and where we can improve, we may collect general usage data such as which features are accessed and how often. This information is used solely to improve the product experience and is never used for advertising or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as race, ethnicity, religion, health data, or biometric identifiers. We encourage you to avoid including unnecessary sensitive details in your application materials.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Services: To deliver core functionality including AI resume tailoring, cover letter generation, career coaching, job matching, and application tracking.
  • Personalization: To tailor job recommendations, resume suggestions, and career advice to your profile and preferences.
  • Improving the Services: To understand how features are used, identify areas for improvement, and develop a better product for our users.
  • Security: To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity.
  • Communications: To send you service-related notices, respond to your inquiries, and (with your consent where required) share product updates.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

4. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the Services to function, such as authentication tokens and session management. We may also use analytics tools to understand how the Services are used so we can continue to improve. We do not use advertising cookies or sell any data collected through cookies. Your browsing activity is never shared with advertisers or other third parties.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any reason. This is a core commitment, not a formality. We may share limited information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party providers for essential operations such as authentication and identity management (Clerk), payment processing (Stripe), and cloud infrastructure hosting (AWS). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it for the specific purposes we authorize.
  • AI Processing: To deliver AI-powered features, your content may be processed by third-party AI providers. This processing is done solely to provide the Services and is subject to strict data handling agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of QuickCruit, our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have regarding your data.

6. Data Security

Security is built into every layer of QuickCruit. We implement robust technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including:

  • All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
  • Authentication is managed by Clerk, a SOC 2 Type II certified identity platform — QuickCruit never stores or processes your passwords
  • Session tokens are cryptographically signed and verified server-side to prevent tampering and impersonation
  • All user inputs are validated and sanitized to prevent injection and cross-site attacks
  • Rate limiting is enforced on all endpoints to prevent abuse and brute-force attempts
  • Security headers are applied to all responses to protect against common web vulnerabilities
  • Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security
  • Strict origin-based access controls ensure only authorized clients can communicate with our servers

No system is perfectly immune to every threat, but we are committed to maintaining strong protections and responding swiftly to any security concerns.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and user content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for other legitimate business purposes. Anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer identify you may be retained indefinitely.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access & Portability: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request that we update or correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the link provided in our emails.

You can manage most of these preferences directly from your account settings. For additional requests, contact us at contact@quickcruit.ai. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us at contact@quickcruit.ai.

10. International Data Transfers

QuickCruit is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. For material changes, we may notify you via email or through a notice within the Services. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
