The short version
No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking. A handful of cookies keep you signed in and remember two preferences, and one analytics cookie helps us see what works. You can turn analytics off right here, for this site and the product at once.

What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognize the browser next time. Some are essential (without the sign-in cookie, every page would forget who you are); some are preferences; some are analytics. This page lists every one QuickCruit sets, by name, and the browser storage we use that is not technically a cookie but does a similar job.
Your choice
There is no cookie banner because there is nothing here to accept: nothing is used for advertising. There is one thing you might want to turn off, and it is a switch rather than a wall.
Analytics and session recording
On. Anonymous usage events here; in the product, usage events and session recordings with anything you type masked.
The switch writes one preference cookie on quickcruit.ai and its subdomains, so it applies to this site and to app.quickcruit.ai in the same browser. Clearing your cookies clears the choice too, and analytics returns to on. Off means no usage events are sent and no session is recorded, from the moment you flip it; the analytics cookie is not set again. It does not affect the sign-in or preference cookies, which the product needs to work.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as this switch set to off, on every visit, without you doing anything. You can still turn analytics on here if you want to; your explicit choice wins over the signal.
Cookies on quickcruit.ai
| Name | What it does | Kind | Lasts | Domain |
|---|---|---|---|---|
qc_analytics_consent | Remembers the position of the switch on this page (analytics on or off), for quickcruit.ai and the product together. | Preference | 1 year | .quickcruit.ai |
ph_…_posthog | A random visitor id and the current session, so we can count visits, see which pages help, and see that a visit here and a later visit to the product came from the same person. No advertising, no cross-site tracking. Not set when the switch above is off. | Analytics | 1 year | .quickcruit.ai |
qc_authed | Set by the product when you sign in; this site only reads it, to show "Open app" instead of "Sign in" without a round trip. Holds a 1, never who you are. | Preference | 7 days | .quickcruit.ai |
Cookies in the product (app.quickcruit.ai)
| Name | What it does | Kind | Lasts | Domain |
|---|---|---|---|---|
__session, __client_uat | Keep you signed in and let the product check your session securely. Set by our authentication provider on our domain; a short-lived handshake cookie may also appear during sign-in. | Essential | Session to 7 days | app.quickcruit.ai |
qc_authed | A 1 that says "someone is signed in", so quickcruit.ai can adjust its header. Cleared when you sign out. | Preference | 7 days | .quickcruit.ai |
qc-sidebar | Whether you left the sidebar open or collapsed. | Preference | 1 year | app.quickcruit.ai |
qc_analytics_consent | The same switch as this page, read by the product too. | Preference | 1 year | .quickcruit.ai |
ph_…_posthog | The same analytics id as on this site, plus session recording of how the interface is used, with anything you type masked before it leaves your browser. Not set when the switch above is off. | Analytics | 1 year | .quickcruit.ai |
Browser storage that is not a cookie
Both the site and the product also keep a few values in your browser's local storage. Unlike cookies these never travel with a request; they stay on your device and are read only by our own pages.
- Your theme (light, dark, or system), on both the site and the product.
- In the product: your last job-search filters, your resume and letter editor preferences (template and font), your initials for the avatar while your profile loads, a referral code if you arrived through one, and a few short-lived onboarding flags that clear when you close the tab.
You can clear all of it from your browser's site-data settings; the product will simply return to its defaults.
Third parties
Checkout and billing management happen on our payment processor's own secure pages, which set their own cookies under their own policy; nothing from them is set on quickcruit.ai. Our analytics provider receives the usage events described above through our own domain and is contractually limited to processing them for us. No advertising network, social-media pixel, or data broker has a cookie on any QuickCruit page.
The browser extension
QuickCruit Autofill sets no cookies. It reads your QuickCruit sign-in cookie from app.quickcruit.ai so you do not have to sign in twice, and never any other site's cookies. Its own storage is described in the Privacy Policy.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every browser lets you see, block, and delete cookies, per site or entirely: look for "Cookies and site data" or "Privacy" in its settings. If you block all cookies for quickcruit.ai, the site still works but the product cannot keep you signed in. Blocking third-party cookies changes nothing here, since we set none.
Privacy, data, and legal enquiries
One address for all of it: questions about this document, requests to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and anything a lawyer would want to send us. Email contact@quickcruit.ai. We answer verified requests within the timelines the law sets, and usually a good deal sooner.
Version history
Every change to this document, newest first. The date at the top of the page is the newest entry here.
First published, split out from the privacy policy. Lists every cookie by name, and adds a switch on this page that turns analytics off across quickcruit.ai and the product. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are honored as that switch set to off.
