Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world's most com plex technical challenges. We are seeking a COM SE C Engineer to join the F-35 program in Arlington, Virginia.

The F-35 Jo int Program Office (JPO) leads life-cycle management of the F-35 Lightning II, the fifth-generation jo int strike fighter serving the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, Cooperative Program Partners (CPP), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers across multiple classification levels.

Support includes Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Special Access Programs (SAP), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and Sensitive Com partmented Information (SCI). The F-35 JPO Security Directorate provides full-spectrum, multi-disciplined security support to protect F-35 technology and information across the enterprise and throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle, spanning Continental United States (CONUS) and overseas operations globally.

The role of the COM SE C Engineer (Senior) is to provide senior-level COM SE C engineering and material account management support for F-35 JPO facilities and classified com munication systems, operating under the direction of the COM SE C Engineer Functional Lead in accordance with National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Defense (DoD) COM SE C program requirements:

  • Perform COM SE C material accounting, inventory, and safeguarding functions in accordance with NSA COM SE C Material Control System (CMCS) and DoD COM SE C account management requirements
  • Support COM SE C account management operations, including key management, issuance, destruction, and emergency destruction planning for NSA-approved cryptographic equipment and keying material
  • Conduct COM SE C equipment inspections, ma int enance coordination, and operational status reporting across assigned F-35 JPO facilities
  • Provide SME-level technical guidance on NSA-approved cryptographic systems and associated operational security procedures
  • Manage Controlled Cryptographic Item (CCI) documentation, inventory records, and reporting requirements in accordance with applicable NSA and DoD policy
  • Assist with COM SE C -related facility accreditation activities and TEMPEST coordination as required
  • Ma int ain all COM SE C Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), destruction certificates, and account documentation current and accurate in accordance with task order requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, OR Bachelor's Degree plus four (4) years of additional COM SE C or com munications security engineering exp erience
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of exp erience performing COM SE C account management and COM SE C engineering functions in support of DoD or int elligence com munity programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NSA COM SE C Material Control System (CMCS) and applicable Com mittee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) policies governing COM SE C account management
  • Exp erience managing Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCIs) and NSA-approved key management infrastructure
  • COM SE C Custodian or Alternate COM SE C Custodian qualification required within six (6) months of hire
  • Top Secret/SAR/SCI clearance required

About the Job

The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
