Position Profile
Position: MicroVellum Optimization Tech
Reports To: Department Supervisor – Engineering
Band: Production Associate Band P03
Location: Grants Pass, OR
Operation: Semi-Custom
Position Summary: The MicroVellum/Optimization tech is responsible for the administration, development, optimization, and support of the site's MicroVellum environment and related manufacturing data systems. This role serves as the technical owner of product configuration, tooling, post processors, machine programming, batching rules, material management, and data integration throughout the manufacturing process. The Tech partners closely with Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, IT, and equipment operators to ensure accurate product execution, efficient machine performance, successful new product launches, and continuous improvement of production processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain MicroVellum libraries, product catalogs, and site-specific product offerings.
- Safely import, export, modify, and deploy products across multiple MicroVellum environments and site instances.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot product-related defects and configuration issues.
- Validate product functionality prior to release into production
Required Education & Experience
- Some Experience preferred working with MicroVellum or similar manufacturing software platforms.
- Some Experience preferred supporting CNC manufacturing equipment and automated production systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to wood dusts, and cabinet-making related materials.
- Exposure to hot and cold elements due to non-climate controlled environment.
- Wearing of Personal Protection Equipment required: eye and ear protection.
