About the Job

Job Level: Senior Level

Home District/Group: Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering

Department: Design Engineering

Market: Industrial

Position Overview

Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering (KIWE) is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead mechanical system design and third-party engineering coordination on hyperscale data center campuses (1GW+).

This role is ideal for a client-facing leader with both engineering and project management experience, capable of guiding projects from early schematic design through execution. You will serve as a key interface between Kiewit, clients, and external engineering partners—ensuring mechanical systems are designed, coordinated, and delivered to meet the scale, reliability, and performance demands of mission-critical infrastructure.

The focus of this role is on MEP systems, with heavy emphasis on

  • Chilled water systems
  • Cooling plants and cooling water infrastructure
  • HVAC systems and air-side design
  • Large-scale piping systems
  • Building Automation BMS and EPMS

You will play a critical role in shaping solutions for some of the most complex AI and hyperscale data center developments in North America, operating at gigawatt-scale capacity.

Why Kiewit

  • Work directly with clients during early design and solutioning phases—not just execution
  • Lead delivery on 1GW+ hyperscale campuses supporting AI and cloud infrastructure
  • Be part of an integrated EPC model that brings engineering and construction together
  • Join an employee-owned company where you have true ownership in outcomes
  • Collaborate with industry leaders across power, industrial, and mission-critical markets

At Kiewit, you won’t just review designs—you’ll help define them, influence strategy, and deliver infrastructure at a scale few organizations can match.
