We currently have a role available for an Expert Pharma Biochemist.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following

  • Characterizing protein-protein interactions between targets and engineered binders using biophysical methods (mass photometry, analytical SEC, SEC-MALS, SPR, or BLI).
  • Preparing and optimizing samples for single-particle cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM): complex assembly, negative-stain/grid screening, vitrification, and iterative optimization.
  • Coordinating with internal/external cryo-EM imaging partners on grid screening and data collection.
  • Maintaining thorough electronic lab notebook records for reproducibility and traceability.

Job requirements include, but are not limited to

  • PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, Biophysics, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience in protein biochemistry (expression/purification, chromatography) and protein-protein interaction characterization (e.g., mass photometry, SPR, BLI, ITC, or AUC).
  • Familiarity with electron microscope sample preparation (negative stain and/or cryo-electron microscopy grid prep/screening).
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Works well both as a team and as an individual.
  • Demonstration of excellent team player skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.

This is a day shift position (approx. 8a-5p local time).
