Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a Security Specialist – Con str u ction Surveillance Technician to join the F-35 program at CON US SAPF and SCIF con str u ction sites.

The F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) leads life-cycle management of the F-35 Lightning II, the fifth-generation joint strike fighter serving the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, Co ope ra tive Program Partners (CPP), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers across multiple classification levels.

Support includes Con trolled Unclassified Information (CUI), Special Access Programs (SAP), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). The F-35 JPO Security Directorate provides full-spectrum, multi-disciplined security support to protect F-35 technology and information across the enterprise and throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle, spanning Con tinental United States ( CON US) and overseas ope ra tio ns globally.

The role of the Security Specialist – Con str u ction Surveillance Technician is to provide on-site con str u ction surveillance support for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) con str u ction projects supporting the F-35 JPO Security Directorate, ensuring all con str u ction activities comply with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, ICS 705-1, and applicable DoD physical security standards:

Perform on-site con str u ction surveillance for SAPF and SCIF con str u ction projects in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, ICS 705-1, and applicable Technical Specifications for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities.

  • Monitor and document con str u ction activities to ensure compliance with Government-approved con str u ction security plans and ICD 705 requirements; report all discrepancies immediately to the assigned Government Program Security Officer (PSO) or Special Security Officer (SSO)
  • Assist with the development of con str u ction security plans, Con trolled Area Certificates, fixed facility checklists, and documentation required for SAPF/SCIF accreditation under ICD 705 and ICS 705-1
  • Prepare and maintain con str u ction surveillance records, milestone inspection reports, and daily activity logs in accordance with con tract deliverable requirements and zero-rework quality standards
  • Coordinate with con str u ction con tractors, sub con tractors, and Government personnel on security compliance requirements and con str u ction scheduling activities
  • Support facility pre-accreditation inspections and coordinate corrective action documentation to achieve first-time pass rates before government acceptance
  • Maintain current knowledge of ICD 705, ICS 705-1, and Physical Security Standards for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities technical specifications to support evolving con str u ction project requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of additional work experience in physical security, SCIF/SAPF con str u ction, or con str u ction surveillance; OR Associate's Degree plus five (7) years of relevant experience; OR seven (9) years of direct hands-on SCIF/SAPF con str u ction surveillance experience in lieu of degree
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience performing SCIF or SAPF con str u ction surveillance in accordance with ICD 705 and applicable technical specifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, ICS 705-1, and Physical Security Standards for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities
  • Experience preparing con str u ction security plans, fixed facility checklists, and accreditation support documentation in support of Government PSO/SSO review and approval
  • Ability to work on active con str u ction sites, including accessing elevated work areas with appropriate personal protective equipment; position requires physical presence on con str u ction site for the duration of active surveillance periods
  • Top Secret/SAR/SCI clearance required

About the Job

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
