How you'll make an impact in this role
- Deliver compassionate, direct patient care under RN supervision, ensuring every individual’s daily needs and comfort are met with dignity.
- Monitor and track vital signs and patient responses to provide the clinical team with the real-time data necessary for safe, effective interventions.
- Document the patient’s journey and clinical observations accurately to maintain high-quality medical records and seamless care transitions.
- Collaborate with your preceptor to refine care plans, using your frontline observations to help shape the best possible outcomes for your patients.
- Perform other tasks as assigned, including preparing/transporting patients for diagnostics and supporting a clean, safe healing environment.
- What minimum qualifications you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Nurse Aide obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education
- High school diploma/GED required. Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer.
What additional preferences you'll need
- Successful completion of first semester of RN curriculum
- Maryland Board of Nursing CNA certification required
- Commitment of 60 hours minimum (5-6 shifts) per semester based on intern’s availability
