POSITION SUMMARY: The Hatchery Specialist/Monitoring Assistant specializes in proper Hatcher cleaning and performance. Assists in the Hatchery monitoring program.

• Washes and disinfects hatchers between hatches.
• Prepares the machines for the next transfer, coordinating cleaning with early transfer crew.
• Helps load eggs into incubators.
• Assists in washing the incubators and farm racks when necessary.
• Responsible for proper operation of the hatchers.
• Informs the Hatchery manager/Maintenance of inadequate hatchery operation.
• Performs all other tasks as directed.
• 8. Other duties as required.

Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.

• Knowledge of hatchers and Incubation.
• Must have an ability to adapt overflow amidst changing schedules and efficiently accommodate both pull and transfer schedule.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of unknowns.
