Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist to join our team in Calabasas Hills, CA.

Work Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 9:00pm - 7:30am

• Provid es technical oversight of laboratory personnel with constant and direct supervision of their t es t-assisting activiti es
• T es ts specimens according to es tablished procedur es
• Reviews patient r es ults and reports out to client
• If assay performs according to specifications, reports r es ults via instrument interface or manual entry in the LIS
• Follows standard operating procedur es regarding acceptance and rejection of r es ults including reviewing all quality control acceptability and recording all remedial actions if runs are not acceptable. Alerts management to problems in quality control methods and procedur es
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment, documents PM appropriately, mak es minor repairs and immediately contacts appropriate personnel for problems requiring more complex repairs
• Develops an ever-increasing understanding of laboratory medicine and the clinical significance of laboratory r es ults
• Adher es to the standard operating procedur es and safety requirements of Es o t er i x, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodi es
• Documents all activiti es as nec es sary including preventative maintenance logs, instrument function checks, troubl es hooting, and quality control to ensure regulatory compliance
• Follows any other job-related instructions and performs any other job related duti es requ es ted by department management

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• California state issued Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) Generalist lic ense or C alifornia Clinical Chemist Scientist (CCS) License

• Current or prior Labcorp experience

• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Able to pass a standardized color blindn es s t es t
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on busin es s needs
