Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist to join our team in Calabasas Hills, CA.
Work Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 9:00pm - 7:30am
Job R es p onsibiliti es
- Provid es technical oversight of laboratory personnel with constant and direct supervision of their t es t-assisting activiti es
- T es ts specimens according to es tablished procedur es
- Reviews patient r es ults and reports out to client
- If assay performs according to specifications, reports r es ults via instrument interface or manual entry in the LIS
- Follows standard operating procedur es regarding acceptance and rejection of r es ults including reviewing all quality control acceptability and recording all remedial actions if runs are not acceptable. Alerts management to problems in quality control methods and procedur es
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment, documents PM appropriately, mak es minor repairs and immediately contacts appropriate personnel for problems requiring more complex repairs
- Develops an ever-increasing understanding of laboratory medicine and the clinical significance of laboratory r es ults
- Adher es to the standard operating procedur es and safety requirements of Es o t er i x, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodi es
- Documents all activiti es as nec es sary including preventative maintenance logs, instrument function checks, troubl es hooting, and quality control to ensure regulatory compliance
- Follows any other job-related instructions and performs any other job related duti es requ es ted by department management
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- California state issued Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) Generalist lic ense or C alifornia Clinical Chemist Scientist (CCS) License
Preferred Qualification
- Current or prior Labcorp experience

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment

- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on busin es s needs
Pay Range: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour plus shift differential
