About the Role

  • Provides professional nursing care to residents through the proper administration of prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Assigns duties to nursing assistants based on residents' needs and available staff.
  • Observes, records, and reports any change in resident’s condition.
  • Notifies residents' physician as necessary to report a change in condition, medication requests, or changes and to verify physician orders.
  • Monitors the medication and treatment cart, nurses' station, and medication room to ensure that expired medications are properly disposed of and narcotics are counted per policy and regulations.
  • Transcribes written physician orders accurately to Medication Administration Record.
  • Completes laboratory requests as ordered by a physician.

Qualifications

  • Current LPN licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • General working knowledge of the aging services industry.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing situations in a dynamic care environment.
