About this Opportunity
At Maxell Power, you will be responsible for legal document preparation, contract management, and regulatory compliance while supporting our in-house lawyer.
Qualifications
- Case & Document Management: Organize eDiscovery, maintain physical and digital files, and track strict court docket deadlines.
- Drafting & Filing: Prepare pleadings, subpoenas, motions, and discovery requests; handle electronic court filings via proper state court systems.
- Research & Investigation: Conduct factual and public records research, summarize depositions, and compile trial notebooks.
- Organization & Detail: Manage heavy paperwork, track strict court deadlines, and keep digital files orderly.
- Communication: Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, and law enforcement.
- Legal Research & Writing: Know how to find laws, review case files, and draft legal documents.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, high attention to detail, and proficiency in legal research software.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience supporting debt and tax equity financing.
- Managed closing processes end to end for project and corporate financing for a $2B+ portfolio of utility scale energy projects.
- Deep expertise coordinating financing approvals and signature workflows across Legal, Capital Markets, Power Markets, and Procurement, including negotiating Master Services Agreements and vendor documentation.
- Extensive experience supporting the full life cycle of financings for on-site distributed generation assets including solar, BESS, and EV charging infrastructure.
Education/Certification
- Paralegal certificate, Associate's/bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent substantive legal experience.
Location & Work Authorization
This is a U.S.-based remote position. Candidates must physically reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application and throughout employment. Maxwell Power does not provide visa sponsorship or employment-based immigration support for this role.
