Job Summary

We are seeking an Intermediate Planner to join our growing Water Sector team in the Greater Toronto Area.

This role will focus on supporting active infrastructure planning assignments, including feasibility studies, linear corridor and vertical facility analyses, and policy and master planning projects. The planner will take on increasing responsibility for deliverable development, stakeholder engagement, and analysis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support active infrastructure planning assignments, including feasibility studies, linear corridor and vertical facility analyses, and policy and master planning projects.
  • Prepare planning reports and alternative assessments.
  • Take on increasing responsibility for deliverable development, stakeholder engagement, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the project design team to deliver projects (Environmental Assessment Reports, Studies and Detailed Design) that meet client requirements.
  • Mentor junior team members, leading by example to promote a high-performance team culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Planning.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in urban and infrastructure planning and delivery, with exposure to both public and private sector projects.
  • RPP (Registered Professional Planner) designation or eligibility to register is strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to plan and deliver tasks to schedule.
  • Engineering support during construction and contract administration experience is considered an asset.
  • Client-focused mindset, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, seeking ways to best solve clients’ toughest challenges.
  • High level of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated collaboration experience in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $70,400-$88,000 for this position and local market. TYLin is proud to offer exciting career development opportunities coupled with a comprehensive total rewards package.
