About the Role
Summary
To perform the preparation of specimens received for testing in the Laboratory. This includes separating blood components into the appropriate samples for in-house testing and/or send-out testing. To provide courteous and complete responses to inquiries and requests. To process mail for specific clients and locations. To support the Laboratory in maintaining supply inventory.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Education and Work Experience:
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- 1 Year in Hospital Laboratory or Reference Laboratory Preferred.
- Typing skills, computer experience, some science education Preferred.

- Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Other Requirements:
- Must possess skills in Communication and Customer Service Preferred.
- Must be able to work under stress and with shifting priorities and interruptions.
- Must have familiarity with keyboard.
- Ability to multitask in answering the phone and maintaining other work functions.

Salary Information
Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
