  • Requirements: Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship. Graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree. Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

What does a typical day look like for the Primary Care Physician?

You will

  • Monday – Friday, 8am–4:30pm.
  • Direct Patient Care: Estimated 95% of the time involved in direct patient care. Provide Primary Care management of acute and chronic conditions. Initial evaluation, treatment and management of minor wound care, respiratory illness, gastrointestinal illness, burns, musculoskeletal trauma, dermatological illness, ENT, eye and urological problems. Initial evaluation and ongoing management of chronic diseases, such as coronary artery disease, atherovascular disease, Type I and II diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, PTSD, depression and other chronic medical and psychiatric conditions.
  • Provide Primary Care management of acute and chronic conditions.

  • Administrative: Estimated 5% of time not involved in direct patient care.
  • What qualifications do you look for?
