Position Summary

As an intern, you will gain valuable educational experience in communications or policy at the state legislative level, and will be provided with opportunities to make connections to support the development of your career. We are currently looking to fill the following intern role:

  • Lawmaker Communications Intern: This intern will work with the team that supports state lawmakers to improve lives with communications and messaging tools designed specifically in the context of state legislatures. Responsibilities may include: Researching lawmakers’ media presence, developing media analyses, and assisting with local press monitoring and reporting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of additional study or work experience
  • Passion for building the power in states to achieve the American Promise.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to exercise excellent judgment while handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Capable of independently managing time and tasks associated with a fast-paced organization Clear communication skills

Pay Range: 22 - 22 USD per per-hour-wage
