The Opportunity
The MII AI & Sustainability Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of AI‑enabled insights, processes and solutions to support the disciplined execution of MII’s oversight of sustainable investing for MetLife’s general account while assisting with broader MII AI initiatives across the United States, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. This is an exciting opportunity to assist with the setting and management of MetLife's general account sustainability goals as well as helping build out MII's AI portfolio ambition.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the timely, accurate, and well‑governed development of the Investor section of MetLife’s annual sustainability report, leveraging enterprise approved AI tools to maintain strong controls, documentation, and audit‑ready processes.
- Support MII AI Lead with administrative tasks related to driving success of corporate AI goal.
- Develop cross-organizational relationships in technology and at MIM specifically but not only to ensure that departmental silos do not hinder company AI goals to be achieved.
- Support preparation of strategic reporting guidance to regional sustainability teams, to ensure alignment with MII’s global strategy and consistent, decision‑relevant outputs.
- Coordinate and oversee investment‑specific content for NAIC, S&P, and CDP climate surveys, leveraging automation and AI tools to ensure a disciplined governance approach that improves efficiency, consistency, and data accessibility.
Required Qualifications
- Curiosity and comfort applying AI‑enabled tools to improve efficiency, insight generation, and access to information; willingness to challenge traditional workflows and drive continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions and levels, building strong working relationships to drive alignment and execution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on producing clear, high‑quality outputs.
- Demonstrated ability or strong interest in leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and enhance output quality.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with urgency while maintaining analytical rigor, strong judgment, and attention to detail in high‑visibility deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
- Relevant experience in Financial Services or Investment Management industry; experience in Sustainable Investments a plus
Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is 95,900 - 97,900. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
