About the Job

A nationally recognized litigation firm with a growing insurance defense and civil litigation practice, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team in Colorado. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with at least three years of civil litigation experience who is ready to independently manage cases while receiving mentorship from accomplished trial attorneys. Candidates may live anywhere in Colorado as long as they maintain an active Colorado law license and are comfortable working in a flexible hybrid environment.

What You'll Do as the Associate Attorney

  • Independently manage a civil litigation caseload from assignment through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
  • Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with experienced attorneys
  • Build trusted relationships with clients while delivering high-quality legal work
  • Handle matters involving insurance defense, general liability, commercial litigation, premises liability, trucking, first-party property claims, and related civil disputes
  • Support both Colorado matters and opportunities across a national litigation platform

Must-Haves as the Associate Attorney

  • Active Colorado law license
  • Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience in a law firm
  • Insurance defense and/or civil litigation experience
  • Ability to independently manage an active litigation docket
  • Experience with motion practice, discovery, and depositions
  • Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
  • Excellent organization and time management abilities
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and requires minimal day-to-day supervision
  • Stable employment history demonstrating commitment and professional growth

Nice-to-Haves as the Associate Attorney

  • Licensed in Texas and/or Arizona
  • Experience with commercial casualty, trucking, premises liability, or first-party property litigation
  • Trial preparation or courtroom experience
  • Interest in long-term career growth within a national firm
