Our site in Bloomington is seeking a Valve Line Team Lead to join our team. As a Team Lead you will partner with a production supervisor to lead a team of operators in their daily tasks as well as helping schedule production needs and react to changing priorities. The Team Lead will serve as the main point of contact during operations for employee concerns as well as responding to issues or changes that impact production. The Team Lead will also play a key role in the performance management process, contributing their assessment of operators to the production supervisor.

• Serves as primary contact on production floor for non-exempt team members; leads startup activities and helps to ensure production processes are executed on time and safely
• Monitors production hour by hour performance and escalates issues
• Conducts start up and end of shift production meetings
• Assists in scheduling and coordinating work, delegating tasks, and resolving issues
• Monitors, adapts, and implements production planning schedules to meet demands and changes on the production floor with minimal supervision
• Partners with supervisors on implementing strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives within department
• Oversee the verification of the work order, part number, batch numbers and the case quantity to the work order and the packaging specifications
• Provides employee training, coaching and recognition and holds self and others accountable to Company policies and procedures; assists or directly addresses performance issues with employees
• Provides input on employee performance and other performance assessments
• Leads and ensures accurate and timely completion of all required documentation (i.e. Production Reports, Rack Tickets, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions, etc.)
• Partners functionally to process deviations and quality notifications according to established processes
• Ensures highest product quality possible and promotes adherence to the quality system, ISO and/or other standards
• Participate actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc.
• Serves as a resource and communicates key and detailed messages to employees
• Promotes, follows and holds others accountable to safety policies, procedures and programs
• Responds to safety concerns; investigates and resolves potential hazards
• Assists with ongoing training and cross training programs
• Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals

• Minimum seven years manufacturing experience
• Previous people management experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills and ability to hold others accountable to effective performance through direct conversation and documented performance management reviews
• Ability to work off shift or modify schedule for team meetings and leadership training as needed
• Associate or technical degrees preferred
• Ability to read, understand, and follow documented processes and procedures.
• Good attention to detail; ability to perform basic math computations and computer data entry.
• Ability to use measuring devices, hand tools, and power tools.
• Proven ability to execute manufacturing processes within a tight tolerance. Understand documented processes and procedures
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment throughout the entirety of the work shift

• Compensation: $25-30 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
