ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.
At AMD, we believe technology can change lives for the better. It can heal us, entertain us, and make us more connected, productive, and understanding of the world around us. And we’re looking for talent who feel the same: people who want to leave the planet better than they found it, those who don’t shy away from humanity’s challenges but are determined to help solve them.
AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward.
THE ROLE
AMD is seeking an experienced Analog Circuit Design Engineer to design and deliver highperformance Low-Dropout (LDO) voltage regulators and power management circuits for next-generation CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs. In this role, you will contribute to cutting-edge semiconductor products by developing robust, lowpower, and scalable analog designs that meet aggressive performance, reliability, and silicon quality targets.
THE PERSON
You are a technically strong analog designer with a passion for precision, innovation, and silicon-quality execution. You enjoy solving complex power integrity challenges and are comfortable working across architecture, design, layout, validation, and silicon debug. You collaborate well in crossfunctional environments and take pride in driving designs from concept through production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop LDO regulators and analog power management circuits for high-performance SoCs and chiplets
- Perform transistor-level circuit design, analysis, and optimization for stability, PSRR, noise, transient response, and efficiency
- Define circuit architectures and compensation strategies across wide PVT corners
- Run extensive pre- and post-layout simulations, including parasitic-aware signoff
- Partner with physical design teams to ensure layout robustness and performance fidelity
- Support silicon bring-up, debug, and characterization activities in the lab
- Work closely with system, platform, and reliability teams to ensure compliance with product specifications
- Document design methodologies, tradeoffs, and validation results
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit design
- Proven experience designing LDOs including bandgap references, error amplifiers, pass devices, and protection circuits
- Solid understanding of power integrity, stability analysis, and compensation techniques
- Experience with low-noise, low-power, and high-current regulator design
- Familiarity with CMOS process technologies and analog layout best practices
- Proficiency with SPICE-based simulation tools and modern EDA flows
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Prior experience delivering circuits into production silicon is highly desirable
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
