About the Job
How you'll make an impact in this role
- Lead vascular access excellence by expertly inserting and maintaining peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC), mid-lines, and peripheral IVs to ensure patient comfort and treatment continuity.
- Drive clinical outcomes by continuously monitoring and communicating patient conditions, ensuring the care plan evolves in real-time to meet patient needs.
- Empower patients and families through clear, compassionate education on catheter care, transforming complex clinical procedures into manageable steps for their recovery journey.
- Serve as a clinical champion and subject matter expert for the nursing team, providing guidance on vascular device products and best practices to elevate the standard of care across the unit.
- Optimize the care journey by evaluating intervention success and refining discharge plans, ensuring every patient transitions to the next phase of healing with confidence.
- What minimum qualifications you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
Education
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
