About the Job

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Specialty Shift Oversight: Lead shift operations and staff work-flows across high-acuity specialty units to deliver quality clinical care.
  • Strategic Planning: Exercise independent judgment to prioritize shift work-flows, align physician dynamics, and adapt to changing patient needs.
  • Acuity & Productivity Management: Distribute population-appropriate patient assignments while maintaining unit productivity metrics and managing variances.
  • Resource & Service Optimization: Secure essential clinical supplies, equipment, and resources to support uninterrupted shift delivery.
  • Talent Growth & Resolution: Serve as a front-line advocate to resolve care concerns while contributing to staff hiring, education, and performance reviews.
  • What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

  • 2 years of ED experience
  • Leadership experience
