About the Role

AECOM Hunt is seeking an experienced Controllership Manager for our team of professionals in Phoenix, AZ.

  • Assists the Controller in the development and maintenance of planning and budgeting systems, the preparation of financial and management reports and procedures, the coordination of various internal and external audits, and the presentation of findings and specific recommendations to senior management.
  • Relies on thorough knowledge of finance and accounting rules, processes and techniques, along with a comprehensive understanding of legal requirements affecting financial and accounting transactions and record keeping.
  • Training and managing staff.
  • Contractor prequalification oversight.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS Accounting/Finance/Business or similar curriculum and 8 years of experience in construction accounting and contractor prequalification or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in contractor prequalification in the field of construction
  • 8 years of accounting experience in the field of A/E/C.
  • Experience in project accounting
  • Experience with CMIC or COMPASS or other database systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction related contracts.
  • Detail-oriented financial review and reconciliation experience.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Deadline management and prioritization.
  • Process improvement mindset.
  • Ability to translate project activity into accounting impacts.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience with ERP, accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in the office in AZ as required.
