Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an Operations Coordinator to join them. You will report to the Performance Leader and will have an onsite, 1st shift work schedule in East Aurora, New York.
To be considered for Operations Coordinator, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
- HS diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- At least 5 years of related experience
As an Operations Coordinator, you will
- Perform development hydraulic test and assembly approximately 50% of the time to ensure department requirements and turnaround times are met.
- Understand the nature and principle of operation of the related hardware.
- Understand the function of several components, their important features, and their relationships to each other.
- Ensure work assigned is in alignment with inchstone scheduling and that program statuses are updated and maintained accordingly.
- Provide technical expertise on complex setups, operations, procedures, and regulatory concerns that may be unusual or difficult, where specific methods may not be available.
- Align appropriate work with department/team employees, identify equipment needs, identify staffing needs, and coordinate the set-up of work areas to meet expected work outputs of the department.
- Support Senior Operations Coordinators in daily projects, communications, and tiered meetings.
- Identify and initiate process improvements to reduce costs and increase quality and efficiency.
- Help develop employees to support the performance and growth of the department or team.
- Be aware of customer requirements and be able to guide the team or department in meeting these requirements.
- React to changing priorities and adjust work assignments accordingly.
