Job Summary

At this time, only current PSEG employees are being considered. Customer Billing Operations ensures accurate and timely billing for PSE&G’s utility customers. The Sr. Business Management Associate supports daily operations by coordinating business routines, assisting with governance processes, performing administrative and analytical tasks, and contributing to continuous improvement and documentation. The role involves close collaboration with analysts, leadership, and cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment, requires flexibility in work schedule, and may include periodic travel to company locations, including but not limited to Bordentown, Springfield, and Edison, NJ.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare complex reports and develop automated billing reporting solutions, including operational dashboards with drill down and filtering capabilities.
  • Support analytical billing projects by performing data extraction, technical and financial analysis, and compiling, monitoring, and evaluating performance metrics against scorecard targets.
  • Continuously monitor existing processes and performance targets, recommending improvements and contributing to ongoing optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and update documentation, manage business materials such as process inventories and workflow content, and develop presentations to support consistent and efficient operations.
  • Assist with SOX related documentation and audit requests. Learn the Billing Analyst role and build proficiency in analytical processes through on the job training, demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in billing related projects as a team member or departmental lead, planning, building, and executing initiatives that drive measurable results.

Job Specific Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Experience working with databases (SAP CCS, Salesforce, Access, or similar)
  • Experience working with large data sets using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
  • Experience supporting digital enhancements or process improvement initiatives
  • Experience developing process documentation or workflows (e.g., Visio)
  • Effective problem‑solving, decision‑making, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required

Desired

  • Ability to lead a small team
  • Experience working in SAP customer systems
  • Understanding of the Meter‑to‑Cash process
  • IT project or change management experience
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (modeling, macros, advanced formulas)
  • Skill in process mapping and workflow design
  • Familiarity with database concepts and data structures
  • Experience using MS Access for data analysis or reporting
  • Basic SQL knowledge for querying and validating data
  • Experience with modern analytical or automation tools (e.g., Power Query, Alteryx)
