About the Role
The Opportunity: As the Associate Manager, Ecommerce Analytics and Insights, this role will report into the Sr. Manager, Analytics and Insights. This role will be responsible for transforming ecommerce and consumer data into actionable business insights that influence decision-making across Digital eCommerce. The role will partner with the DTC organization, including product management, CRM, marketing, merchandising, UX, engineering and data teams to measure performance, identify business opportunities, improve customer experiences, and enable data-led decision making. The role will combine hands-on analytics, experimentation, measurement strategy, dashboard development to advance Mattel’s direct-to-consumer analytics capabilities.
What Your Impact Will Be
- Provide regular performance reporting for the business. Communicate key learnings to business leaders and build on current methodology to guide future analysis and planning.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business questions, use SQL/Python to retrieve and analyze data, present insights, and recommend opportunities that will contribute to the success of ecommerce and consumer campaigns and initiatives.
- Support ad hoc projects from stakeholders across product management, marketing, merchandising, and the UX/UI teams.
- Create and maintain business-facing dashboards designed to enable analytics for the broader business.
- Drive vision and contribute to analytics roadmap and digital data capabilities.
- Coordinate updates to data flows with product management teams to ensure consistency of tracking and measurement methodologies across Mattel business units.
- Partner with the Data and Product Management teams on strategies to improve consumer analytics capabilities.
- Support initiatives related to advanced analytics, UI/UX personalization, and A/B testing.
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert for web analytics and ecommerce data, including, but not limited to, training and consultation on cross-organization projects as needed.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders as a trusted source for analytics and business insights.
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
- Bachelor’s in Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of experience working in ecommerce or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL/BigQuery or similar environment, Advanced SQL and Python or R preferred.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and data visualization tools (Data Studio or Tableau).
- Understanding of and experience with foundational ecommerce customer analytics concepts like predictive analytics and RFM Scoring.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in written/presentation formats to functional and technical partners a must.

*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
