We Create Products and Brands That People Trust to Clean, Sanitize, and Protect Their Homes and Pools

When you join KIK Consumer Products, you’re joining a team that cares about the work we do and also about each other. We bring exceptional brands and products to consumers that help them protect the health and wellness of their families and the cleanliness of their homes and pools. We are committed to building a culture of performance driven by accountability, collaboration, and agility that enables timely fact-based decision-making and exceptional execution with unwavering ethics. As one of North America’s largest independent manufacturers of consumer products, KIK helps a large portfolio of brands and retailers bring their products to life.

Your Role at KIK

Join our team a s the Receiving Coordinator on 1st shift (Monday – Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and overtime on Saturdays as required) at our Houston facility, you are the first line of accountability for everything that enters this plant. Every drum, tote, pallet, and package that reaches our production floor passes through your verification first — and that verification is what protects our formulations, our production schedule, and our regulatory standing.

You will match inbound freight against purchase orders and vendor documentation, validate quality certifications on incoming chemical and packaging components, document every discrepancy, and release material for inspection so production never waits on paperwork. You will work shoulder to shoulder with Quality Assurance, Inventory Control, Purchasing, and Logistics, and you will be the person carriers and drivers deal with when they arrive on site.

This role is built for someone who takes pride in precision. In chemical manufacturing, an unverified receipt is a risk to product quality and to the people on our lines — you are the checkpoint that makes sure that risk never reaches the floor. This position has a base salary range of $23.69 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Check in incoming loads of raw materials, chemicals, and packaging components, matching item, quantity, lot, and condition against purchase orders and the vendor Bill of Lading.
  • Audit inbound Bills of Lading for accuracy and resolve discrepancies directly with carriers, vendors, and Purchasing.
  • Enter receipt transactions accurately and same-day in ERP — DSI / AS400 or JD Edwards.
  • Prepare Receiving count forms and submit them to Incoming Inspection for disposition.
  • Print receivers and receiving checklists, and verify that COAs and COCs match KIK specifications on every receipt before material is released.
  • Prepare OS&D (Overage, Shortage, and Damage) documentation on all receipt discrepancies and damages, escalating to Purchasing and QA as required.
  • Confirm that inbound material carries the correct KIK item numbers when the product is part of a Bill of Material (BOM).
  • Scan and route Bills of Lading to the appropriate departments, and deliver COAs and COCs to the proper QA personnel.
  • Verify that all Return Goods Authorizations (RGA) carry proper approvals before return shipments leave the site.
  • File receiving documentation so the site stays audit-ready at all times.
  • Follow all site safety, GMP, and chemical handling requirements, including required PPE and SDS protocols.
  • Operate a sit-down forklift to unload, stage, and put away inbound material safely and efficiently.
  • Check in drivers and review the KIK Driver Rule Sheet with them, holding carriers to site safety expectations.
  • Receive, catalog, and distribute UPS and FedEx small-package shipments.
  • Handle all functions related to the processing of miscellaneous orders.
  • Participate in cycle counts and plant physical inventory.
  • Partner cross-functionally with QA, Inventory Control, Production Planning, and Logistics to keep material flowing to the lines.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

What You’ll Bring

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of receiving or warehouse experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • 2 or more years of sit-down forklift experience.
  • Working knowledge of receiving documentation, including purchase orders, Bills of Lading, COAs/COCs, and OS&D reporting.
  • ERP or WMS experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Experience receiving chemical raw materials, including hazmat documentation and SDS handling, preferred.
  • Experience in a GMP, ISO, or otherwise regulated manufacturing environment preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds; heavier material handled with assistance or mechanical aid.
  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, and reach for the duration of a 8 hour shift.
  • Active warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and chemical odors; required PPE includes safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, and hearing protection.
  • Overtime and occasional weekend coverage as business needs require.
