About the Role

The Repair Technician will interface with General Assembly, Paint, Body in White (BIW), Quality, and Engineering teams to address mechanical and electrical system issues identified in production, testing, and inspection processes within a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute diagnostics and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems, including powertrains, chassis, and body components
  • Perform NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) assessments and drive tests utilizing specialized test tracks
  • Operate and calibrate computerized wheel alignment systems, executing precise mechanical adjustments on steering and suspension
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to diagnose and resolve system faults rapidly
  • Collaborate with PMI, Quality, Design, and Engineering teams to refine work instructions, tooling, and component functionality
  • Utilize and maintain advanced shop tools, power tools, and automotive electrical diagnostic equipment

Requirements

  • 2+ years of technical experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and servicing or equivalent high-performance experience in General Assembly at Tesla
  • Proven experience in coordinating and training technicians, driving their professional growth
  • Proven ability to function effectively within a team and meet collective objectives
  • Adaptability to work efficiently in a high-paced, technology-driven manufacturing environment
  • Expertise in detailed record-keeping and technical reporting & knowledge of Tesla vehicle systems and software
  • Valid driver’s license
