Description
The operational excellence program lead is responsible for enterprise-wide initiatives of programmatic deployment of Zeus Operating System as well as corporate continuous improvements projects. This position is critical in coaching and mentoring of the team members in Lean & Six sigma methodologies and tools supporting problem solving. The role collaborates with teams at all levels to serve as a change agent for enterprise-wide initiatives that optimize operations, reduce waste, and build organizational capability to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Work as a change agent and drive operational excellence transformation
- Applying and deploying lean values and principles to the entire organization
- In charge of eliminating waste and creating value by reducing variation in the processes to achieve sustainable results throughout the organization and segment.
- Utilize Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) techniques, initiate process improvements, cycle time reductions, cost reductions and other activities aimed at reducing/eliminating non-value-added activities in the process.
- Drive and carry-across the identified best practices
- Foster cross-functional and cross- factory communication and technical exchange
- Support generation of standard work
- Conduct lean and six sigma training and accelerate the proliferation of Lean Continuous Improvement culture throughout the organization by co-guiding and co-facilitating Lean Deployment.
- Diligently participate in the selection and executions of lean and six sigma projects.
- For assigned initiatives provide strategic deployment plans of lean transformation
- Coach and facilitate Lean Transformation activities through Kaizen workshops and Small Group Activities
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s in Engineering
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required/Black Belt highly preferred
Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or related manufacturing leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success leading high-impact enterprise-wide initiatives
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Strategic transformations experience is preferred
Skills and Competencies
- Initiatives leadership: Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in deployment of enterprise-wide initiatives from project scope definition through execution and control demonstrating expertise in resource planning, milestone tracking, risk assessment, and cost control.
- Analytics and problem solving: Strong capability in root cause analysis, DOE, GR&R, SPC, and process capability; skilled at extracting insights from large datasets and converting them into actionable improvements.
- Change management and sustainability: Proven ability to integrate improvements broader systems and a defined change management approach to all initiatives
- Leadership and influence: Strong presence with the ability to coach, mentor, and drive cultural change while motivating teams to embrace structured problem solving, continuous improvement and change management approach
- Communication & Facilitation: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; comfortable engaging audiences from operators to executives; experienced in facilitating workshops, Kaizen events and leadership updates
