About the Job

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Coordinate complex surgical procedures to ensure seamless operating room workflow and maximize surgical throughput.
  • Manage surgeon preference cards with high attention to detail to enhance team readiness and reduce operational downtime.
  • Maintain precise clinical scheduling records within EHR and scheduling systems to optimize hospital resource utilization and patient safety.
  • Facilitate effective communication across interdisciplinary teams—including surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing leadership—to drive safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Anticipate shifts in operational demands to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
  • What minimum qualifications you'll need

Education

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What additional preferences you'll need

  • A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior hospital operating room experience.
  • Direct experience in surgical case scheduling.
