Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

What will you be doing

The Senior QA Engineer verifies software products and systems to ensure they are functioning as described in the business requirements and design documents associated with the product or system. Develop and execute exploratory, manual and automated tests to ensure product quality. Work is performed within guidelines and standards followed by the enterprise regarding methodologies, version control, documentation, continuous integration, continuous deployment, automation, policy compliance and team collaboration.

The Senior QA Engineer is responsible for establishing the appropriate test scenario coverage and ratio of manual to automated test coverage for Premier’s software products or systems and has a good knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Demonstrates proficiency in SQL (writing single-table or multi-table joins, relational/dimensional database concepts, database query tools); skills in the development of test automation (using AI, Java, Selenium, Cucumber or equivalent technologies); and programming skills in one or more scripting (i.e. Python) or object oriented programming languages (i.e. Java, C#, C++). Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Ability to adapt to changes in scope, schedule and assignments quickly (learning on the fly) with little or no direction. Provide guidance, support and mentorship to teammates. Self-motivated to learn about and stay current with new and emerging testing technologies and capabilities. Thorough knowledge of Premier products and business domain. Full latitude for independent judgment when writing validation criteria and writing and executing test scripts.

The senior level will require oversight from Architects and/or Supervisor.

Working Conditions: Remote

Travel Requirements: Travel 1-20% within the US

Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $90,000 - $150,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
