This job plans, directs, controls and evaluates all functions of Supply Chain. This job assures inventory supply levels are appropriate to provide patient care and functions without disruption while being at the most cost beneficial level to the institution.

Education

Required - High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Business or Clinical field

Work Experience

Required - 5 years experience in related field

Certifications

Required - Valid Driver’s license required if driving a company vehicle

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information. Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to properly operate equipment with objects weighing up to the manufacturers recommended weight limit.

Job Duties

  • Manages supply and equipment distribution to user areas.
  • Assures supply/equipment inventory levels for responsible areas are sufficient for optimal effectiveness in meeting patient care/user demands at the lowest financial cost.
  • Observes and evaluates staff to ensure processes and job functions are being performed according to department guidelines.
  • Performs proper handling and reporting of inventory transactions of supplies and equipment.
  • Supervises, trains and develops department staff.
  • Assures efficient financial management for areas of responsibility.
  • Other related duties as required.
