Unit Associate I - Per Diem

The Gagnon 4 Post TAVR unit at Morristown Medical Center is seeking a per diem Unit Associate. This is varied shifts, including every third weekend.

Responsible for assisting a Registered Nurse/patient care team in providing a variety of nutritional, clinical and transportation services and activities to promote patient comfort and satisfaction. Contributes to a positive work environment as an active team member with a commitment to learning and skill development.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Maintaining inventory supply and stocking units according to established procedures and standards.
• Transporting patients and equipment. Delivering records and specimens.
• Assisting nursing and medical personnel in delegated direct/indirect patient care activities.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Required:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of steady work history.

• Knowledge of and familiarity with hospital equipment, supplies and procedures.
• Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergency/urgent situations and to follow established procedures.
• Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interface with inter-professional staff, patients, families, visitors, and other hospital employees.
• 4. Minimum 6 months experience in an acute care setting
