About the Job
How you'll make an impact in this role
- Design precise treatment plans to deliver targeted radiation doses under the direction of medical physicist and radiation oncologist, directly contributing to successful patient outcomes and tumor management.
- Assist with or perform the fabrication of beam modifying devices and immobilization devices.
- Perform specialized brachytherapy procedures in close collaboration with the care team to provide high-precision, localized treatment.
- Provide technical support for equipment calibrations and radiation protection, ensuring the highest standards of safety and care quality for patients and staff.
- Collaborate on innovative clinical research and dosimetry projects alongside medical physicists to continuously elevate radiation therapy practices.
- What minimum qualifications you'll need
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist credentialed from the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board obtained within 36 Months (3 years) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Education
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional preferences you'll need
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist or enrolled in a program to become CMD credentialed.
- Radiation therapist experience.
